Join TIPSS
TIPSS is a very effective association of independent staffing industry professionals. We are looking for new members from large and small companies with similar interests who believe they can benefit from an active membership in our organization.
Membership Requirements
Membership is held jointly between the company and the individual. Membership may not pass through sale, transfer, assignment or bequest on an existing TIPSS member. In cases where a TIPSS member is a corporation or partnership, an individual in order to qualify for membership or retain membership must own at least 20% of such corporate or partnership ownership.
Independent, non-franchised, non-licensed (not including government license) temporary help firms may be considered for membership if the following criteria are met:
- The firm has an average billing of at least 6,000 hours per week for the prior 12 months.
- The firm has been established in the temporary help industry for a minimum of two years, or is the successor to a business that has been in business for a minimum of two years. (Branches of existing members are exempt from this two-year requirement.)
- The firm is not located within a 50-mile radius of any current, participating member (unless the existing member gives written consent).
- The firm is not a member of any other temporary help national interchange organization. (Any member who subsequently joins another national temporary interchange organization must immediately forfeit its TIPSS membership.)
Membership is limited to 33 companies. New members are considered only when attrition occurs. Initiation fee is $500; dues are $350 per year.
To remain in good standing, members or their designated alternates must attend a minimum of every other meeting, unless excused by the Executive Board. (TIPSS holds a regular Annual Meeting once each calendar year and another Special Meeting annually, which occurs approximately six months after the Annual Meeting.)
All members must sign and adhere to a Confidentiality Agreement and abide by the ASA Code of Ethics and Good Practices.

If you are interested in becoming a member, please complete a brief questionnaire or call our Membership Chairman, David Lockhart, at (313) 372-7700 for more information. Prospective members also will be asked to complete a more detailed application. The Executive Board subsequently determines whether to invite a prospective member to attend the next scheduled meeting.
